I don't want my child sims dressing and looking like adults. Yeah, I hate it too, and I hate that it's so damn popular to do it. I am probably more of a laissez-faire player than most in terms of my sims’ looks so maybe that’s unfair and judgmental of me but it rubs me the wrong way. I also think it’s creepy and depressing (though less so) when people can’t make an adult sim without making them these hyper-idealized pouty models with the exact same body type. Unfortunately a lot of people seem so ill and obsessed with these beauty ideals they either can’t see why applying it to children is creepy or they just don’t care, which is extremely depressing to me. When you are hyper-focused on attractiveness and having a teeny tiny cartoon waist, ass-length glossy hair, super styled clothes, and more makeup than most everyday adults wear on a daily basis as being this single ideal for attractiveness, that is going to come through in the way you play the game. More broadly, I think that, in general, people use this game to project a lot of their sort of fucked-up views on appearance and body image, whether it’s intentional or not.
